Brandon Logic (yes, real last name...) was born in Racine, Wisconsin on July 23 1984; He began handing out cassette tapes of his own electronic works back in the 8th grade, using his playstation and a MS DOS midi sequencer called Screemtracker, and he’s been consistently independently releasing albums ever since. In high-school he played the drums in a local punk band, covering songs by bands like The Casualties, The Misfits, the Ramones, Jerry Lee Lewis, Otis Redding, etc. After the band, he started focusing more on his own music and further developing his sound and aesthetic. His major influences include Amon Tobin, Boards of Canada, Boom Bip, Blockhead, Daedelus, Dosh, Four Tet, Philip Glass and Chopin. He’s finishing up his last semester at Columbia College in Chicago where he’s studying Audio Arts and Acoustics: Live Sound Reinforcement.
